Right to charge

What is right-to-charge?
Across the country, more and more states are adopting right-to-charge laws that give renters and condo owners the legal right to request EV charging at home.
These laws were created to ensure that access to EV charging isn’t just for homeowners with garages, but for everyone, including people living in apartments and multifamily buildings.
Above is a map showing right-to-charge states. All states in green represent those with protections for both renters and condo owners, while those in grey represent those with protections for only condo owners.
How Moon Five helps
If you’re in a state with right-to-charge protections, we will work on behalf of the renter and property owner to take care of the technical details of charger installation and approvals to make the process of getting dedicated charging as smooth and stress-free as possible.
All you need to do is start the conversation, we’ll take care of the rest.
